Confidently Yours

Confidence is often described as a personality trait - something you either have or don’t.

Ugh, look at the way she dresses, even her walk, she’s so confident!

When we look up the definition of Confidence we see it is in fact a state of being. The ability to trust or rely on another with certainty, as well as being self assured. This self assurance grows from the appreciation of your own abilities or qualities.

I’ve come to experience over the last several years of my life & career that Confidence is a skill, one that can most certainly be developed. And like any & all skills, with discipline, dedication, & training, we can reach any goal we set our sights on.

I liken my confidence to any other muscle in my body. With the appropriate amount of rest, training, self care and repetition, it grows stronger; and in the process, so too do I.

While our current go getter, boss lady, self assured social society would have us reading quotes about how to tap into this confidence, the best practice, I’ve found, isn’t in the summation of reaching your goal - it truly is found, built upon, & fully realized through the journey, not just reaching the destination.

Confidence is built every time you do the thing that scares you.

Being honest with yourself or your loved one.

Getting in front of the camera.

Stepping out on that stage for a speech or performance.

Starting your business, your website, launching your product, taking on your first client.

Asking for help.

Confidence is built through each and every one of these small actions & many more. With the right amount of self awareness & faith, with every step forward you take, you step deeper into yourself, into your calling, building more faith and assuredness along the way.

Simply put, it’s the journey of becoming, You.

Believe in yourself, I do!

I love you.
